FRANK MERCER photography

Photography is like a drug. Both are a means to escape to a different world. In my personal work, I photograph images after much thought, or with no thought at all. Photography can capture a image of something that is never changing, or it can capture a brief moment in time. I am comfortable photographing in urban settings, industrial wastelands, in a forest or in a junkyard, late at night or anytime during the day. Light, shape, line, form, space, texture and color  are the elements that come together, speaking to me, and through me to reveal the subject. These are the things that I am compelled to photograph, regardless of subject.
